Today in English 103 we discussed how to critique and review a website. Professor Hailey Sheets brought out some very good information, and has detailed out line on which to follow for the site we wish to review. I think this is going to be a nice project. I believe so much can be obtained as we review in detail a website.
There is so much that goes into making a website something many people don't recognize. Those who use the web or look at site expect to go there and get there information and that is it. if we would take a minute when we view the site to see how user friendly it is, instead of getting anger when we can't navigate through it, we may see that site may not be one to use.
There were several details that was brought out by our professor today that made me think about the content and how user friendly a site should be. i will admit I am not a computer king by any means, but the details she illustrated today made me a little more aware about sites. there are some sites that have been created that cause virus. As I now it, I dont see how you can detect whether a site can cause a virus.
I really won't go int detail about my site in this blog other than to say it is a large website with so much information crammed into the front page. Our professor has indicated to us to look at the site as if we never have been on it before. I am a member of the site. Now i must sit back and look at this site with an unbiased opinion. I feel this is a good thing to do because I have always just went to the site and viewed it. I must not break down the site and how well it is or can be used by anyone.
Also in this review of the website we choose, we must have conclusive questions. How interesting. I like the idea that Professor Sheets has come up with this final assignment. I regret you will not be able to see the results of the site I have chosen. I can tell you this, I plan on making an excellent review.
